Hi guys...
My daughter has an original iMac...
The CD drive went craps and I can get a USB CDR for less $$$ then replacing the original CD drive...

However, the CDR is SLOOOOW...

Is there any what I can upgrade the USB in the iMac from 1.0 to 2.0 and take advantage of faster file transfer???

No. There isn't.

There is, however, an upgrade for the original iMac that adds FireWire, IIRC. Sonnet makes it, I think. Check out
