Comment: I've got an Imac 400mhz DV which has an intermittent display problem. The CRT flickers with horizontal lines and has a blue tint and looks 'washed out'. Can anyone suggest the cause of the problem and how I may fix it as otherwise it's in good condition.

Reply: (edit)Sounds like the refresh rate has gone a bit wacky. Have you tried using the display at different resolutions? (1024x768, etc) An app called SwitchRes can be used to set your display to different refresh rates. Joshua Coventry Mac dude

Reply: (edit)I've had the same thing with mine. I had to turn it in to the shop to have the entire video system renewed. Now I'm having problem with the CRT-itself: I think the video-system of this series is just not well constructed!
