I've just bought a DVD drive to replace the CD drive in my 350 MHz Imac. My
question to you is...Running system 8.6, what will I need to make the machine read/play DVDs?
I've not yet installed the thing.

Thanks much!

OS 8.6 natively supports DVD drives. It just won't
boot from DVD-RAM drives. It never would hurt to
get the latest version of CarbonLib.

When trying to play a DVD in This machine using Apple's DVD Player I got an error message stating that I did not have the proper hardware installed. Any suggestions?

FYI, It reads CDs fine.

Thanks,

Eric
