Comment: I'm having problems installing software on my old Classic II Mac running System 7. I was trying to install a program on the mac (the install file was in the .hqx format) and I got an error that it couldn't be opened because "the application program that created it could not be found." So, I tried the installer in the .bin format and got the same message. Does anyone know how I can remedy this problem?

Reply: (edit)Both these formats have to be unstuffed using Stuffit. You can download Stuffit Expander here; http://download.cnet.com/downloads/1,10 150,0-10005-103-0-1-7,00.html?tag=st% 2Edl%2E10005%2Esbsr&qt=stuffit&cn=& ca=10005 The version on that page may not work on your machine. You can also try MIndExpander on the same page.
