Recently, Adobe Illustrator keeps freezing and crashing my mac. It's saying type 2 error and type 3 error. What does this mean. P.s Are there any programs that I can download for free that find viruses?

Try increasing the memory allocation for Illustrator.
There aren't any particularly *useful* freeware antivirus programs any more, but the odds of you actually having a virus are pretty slim.

Thanks I'll try that. I've downloaded disinfectant so I don't think it's a virus.

There's a reason John Norstad quit developing Disinfectant - it doesn't catch any Office-based macro viruses, nor does it catch the other four or five Mac viruses that have appeared in the last four years. So just because Disinfectant gives you a clean bill of health doesn't mean you're definitely virus-free; in fact, if Disinfectant *does* find anything, you probably have a lot more problems than you know.

If you're convinced it's a virus - I'm not - get something like Virex or NAV for Mac.
