Subject: IE5 Mac Edition problemsOS: OS 9.1CPU/Ram: performa 6400/72MB |
Comment: Dear Group: Sometimes when I use IE5 the images on the web pages are missing. I tried to restart my Mac and that didn"t help. I haven't changed any settings in IE5. What could be the problem? Thanks!

Reply: (edit)The memory is low and the images cannot load. Change the memory settings for explorer or simply reboot to refresh the memory. You may have a lot of extensions enabled which is also eating away at your RAM.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for the help. Skooter, the images do show up on other computers. And Wayne, I think it is a memory problem. I only have 72MB ram. I am buying another 64MB stick today. Thanks again guys!

Reply: (edit)Throw out IE 5 and use iCab instead. It's far less RAM-hungry and is much faster. p
