When we unstuff sea and hqx files (or sometimes just transfer Mac files around on our mostly PC Network), we see these "Icon_" files all over our drives. The PC's can't do anything with them - they can't be moved, copied, etc. The Mac's don't even see them.
How do I get rid of them?
How can I prevent these fragments from appearing and moving around??Thanks

Unlike DOS/PC files, Mac files and folders can consist of separate components, which the Mac filesystem treats as one entity (as far as the end user is concerned). Files can have a "resource fork" and a "data fork". Folders can have an external component called a "custom icon". It is a separate file associated with the folder, and under the Mac filesystem, it has a hidden attribute. When transferred to a PC, it looses this attribute, and that is what you are seeing. You might also see files or folders named "resource.frk". These are the resource fork components of Mac files, and are useless to a PC.
I don't know how to keep them from appearing or being transfered; I just delete them when they crop up.
