Hi,

I'm having a lot of trouble with iChat. I want to sign on
using my AIM account. I have all the correct information,
yet whenever I try to connect a window pops up saying,
"The host refused the connection".

It worked a day ago, but not since. It logs onto BonJour
with no problem. I've tried iChat support pages & also
AIM, but I haven't found any help from that.

I'm connected to the internet via AirPort. I'm not very
computer savvy, but usually have no problem figuring
things out on my own. I've given up on this issue & I need
HELP!

Please ... any advice??

Try deleting the iChat pl (preferences file) and when you load IChat it will ask for your details again (Like you have just installed it for the first time)

Put in your preferences - your AIM screename etc, and see if it will connect from there.

Also, if that does not work, try repairing permissions.

Regards,
Kyomii

All good advice, but you neglected to mention one minor
thing, this usually means the AOL servers are down, you may
just have to wait.
