i have never owned a mac before, so im a newbie::::::

i just got an iBook with osX and i want to be able to have it access my windows netork, so i can transfer mostly pics and mpeg video?

how do i do this

Check out the Apple Support Knowledge base at kbase.info.apple.com searching under "file sharing" or "sharing windows"

ps you may need to create an Apple ID if you have not already registered. Trust me, it's worth it.

Check out this website. It has proven invaluable to me. Especially, check up on that small utility which helps u connect to a samba server( I forget its name and am too lazy to check it up) Its very easy to use and cheaper than DAVE.
