Comment:

Have other iBook or Mac users experienced buzzing
noises, hissing or speaker-mic feedback since
updating to 10.2.6?
Apple support has narrowed it down to software, and
is citing the dread "Hardware Distinction:" since our
software caused your problem but your hardware's
OK, we may or may not develop a fix.
An Archive/Clean Restore fixes the problem, but in
10.2.1 I can't live the iLife - QuickTime updates,
Apple Music file formats, new releases, etc.
Have other users encountered this? Any advice for
getting my 5-month-old investment restored to the
functions I paid for? Thanks.

Mark,

Only a postulation here: it could be a problem
involving QuickTime 6 - and/or download and
payment for Registration of QuickTime 6.3.

Look into subject of "Apple Carbon Sound
Manager " update in combination with QT 6.3 and
OS 10.2.1 - especially in the arena of a clicking
microphone.

cheers
