Is it just me, or does Microsoft Word for mac lags about 0.5 seconds (meaning, not significant lag, but a SLIGHTLY slow response) whenever you type? I am not using different language input, but just a regular English text. I have an iBook PowerPC G4 1.33Ghz with 1GB of RAM, with more than enough hdd space left (22GB), not much additional software installed. About the only thing I have is the Microsoft Office (2004)and all of the pre-installed apple stuff. Since I am VERY new to Mac, I'm not really sure if the slight lag is a normal thing or if there's anything wrong. Am I expecting too much from my iBook? Is this due to me being too used to fast PCs? Whatever I type is correctly inputted, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining, but the slight lag does get annoying when I need to delete a few words and I delete more than I have to because it doesn't respond immediately. Thanks for any input.

Have you got your mouse plugged into your keyboard? If
so, try plugging it into a seperate USB port. I had this
problem on my eMac and it was a USB issue. You could also
try repairing permissions to see if that solves the problem,
or deleting the .plist file of Word.
