I just purchased a used ibook from ebay. I am very new to the mac world. Please help. To boot from a cd on my ibook, you have to press and hold "option" instead of "c". And then you need to type a password. I was given the password. I would like to change the password (or get rid of it altogether) and change the boot key back to "c". Anyone know how to do this?
Also,I have 10.0.3 and think I should upgrade. What does everyone else think? Stay with 10.0 or buy 10.1 or 10.2. Is it worth waiting for 10.3?

Grapes,
The "option" command is only needed if you have multiple Operating Systems and partitions onboard your iBook.
Yes - it is actually "C".
Insert the boot CD, go up to the blue Apple in your top-left corner ->> scroll down to "Restart" - agree to "Restart" - then the moment your screen goes black - hold down just the "C" key on your keyboard and keep it down for around 30 seconds or so - and yes - Raffy is right - don't purchase Mac OS 10.2 (Jaguar) - only a couple of months (or less) and there'll be Mac OS 10.3 (Panther).
