This computer is getting me very mad. I just don't get why this stupid thing won't get on the internet. when i try to connect all the darn thing says is an error occured while initilizing the serial port. It has a Us Robotics 33.6 mac modem and Netscape 3.0. Everything else works fine but i guess i will have to junk the whole computer if i don't get it on the internet. It is a mac performa 578 with 36mb of ram.

Make sure you're using Open Transport and that you have the proper modem script installed. It can be downloaded from links in my FAQ:

Also, get rid of Netscape 3. Get 4.08 and you'll be much happier. iCab is better yet.
