I was trying to free some memory and following the suggestions in the troubleshooter on my mac. After doing so, I restarted the computer and now I get a message saying "Ram is too big. It has been turned off" then it says to restart. When I restart, I get the same message. I do not have the original keyboard so my command keys do not work. I tried the system restore from the disc but can't start it up from the disc either. Any suggestion??? Any and all will be appreciated greatly!

it sounds similarly linked to virtual memory. do you remember making changes related to virtual memory settings...try reversing those settings and start up the computer in safe mode to do that
