i hve mac os x and cant run in dos

how do i run in dos mode on mac, i downloaded a free file viewer and it says "cant run in dos" when i try to open it. what do i do to solve this issue. I have mac os x 10.6.8

Sounds like you downloaded a Windows program, which won't run on a Mac.

If you want a command-line session open a terminal from "Applications" (or it might be in "Utilities").

how do i make a command on the open black terminal? not sure and i cant get help from anyone. Im kinda learning some things on my own and don't really know up from down. but im trying can you help?

Are you aware that Apple's OS X (it is not Mac OS X despite what people write) is Unix based and has no relation what-so-ever to Microsoft MS-DOS & Windows Operating Systems ? I noticed you are also using Windows and you will have to learn two different entities/mind-sets
