I'd Got an Imac (G3 power PC 266) from my grand father, it's color is orange, but it had no operating system on it (HD 4 GB), no thing is on it's HD, i think the HD was intialiazed some how... now I'm trying to get it running after insuring that the OS which was shipped with it was Mac OS 8.5, but I don't have the Mac OS 8.5 install desk, only I have a Mac Os 8.5 DMG file, so how can I boot this iMac then install or mount the DMG file on it's HD, I'd got recently an image of MAC OS 8.5 on IMG file, please feedback how to run my iMAC or how to mount one of these disk images on it. it has a CD drive running well. how can I prepare the IMG or DMG file in format readable and bootable for my old iMac... since i have a normal intel PC with a WR CD drive

The easiest way is find a friend with a Mac and burn it to CD. If not, google "DMG to ISO" - there's lots of software that will (most of the time) successfully convert it to ISO so you can burn it with Nero, etc.

It's easy. Mount the DMG by double-clicking on it. Open Disk Utility, select the mounted DMG and click Burn. Boom. It's done. No apps to dowanload it's all in Applications/Utilities. Boom.
