How to send files using MSN for mac

Hi. I'm new to macs but have just acquired one and am learning slowly! My mac is happily picking up my pc wireless network,and sharing files, but on MSN it cannot SEND files and tells me the connection is blocked. Can anywone point me in the right direction to sort this? It can receive files from my own network ok (haven't tried it with friends yet)
Prob 2) Printer!! I cannot get the mac to find my networked printer! When I click 'add' and it brings up rendezvous nothing appears.
