how to open unix executable files

I received unix executable files. can not open them. are they pc generated? i am supposed to edit these layouts containing artwork. is there any way to covert them. i am running panther on g5 and have most of design software

i think you need to drag the relevant file onto stuffit
expander. i know i've been in this situation before and
resolved it that way. also, you might get lucky if you change
the suffix to
.zip
.sit
.sitx
.somethingthatworksforyou!
and then drag onto stuffit expander (which is free on the net
- get the latest)
