PowerPC version is usually for OS9, you probably need the MAC OSX version.......

There are many DVD rippers could you give us a link to the WebSite ??

PowerPC programs are for OS X, but machines using G3, G4,
or G5 processors. Intel programs are for Intel powered Macs
only, and Universal programs are for either.

For most programs to be installed on a Mac, drag the
program from the disc image you download to your
applications folder. Not many programs come with an
"installer" like Windows apps, just drag and drop.

Thank you guys for your responding to this.
Santa, here is the link to this DVD ripper http://www.mp4converter.net/dvd-rip...

Golfer, thanks for your technical support. I'm wondering whether the program needs to be installed like that in windows or just put the program into a appointed folder and no other things to do.

That particular program comes with an installer, it's not the
drag and drop variety. Double click on the .dmg file you
downloaded. A white rectangular disk will mount on the
desktop, inside that there is a .pkg file. Double click that and
the installer will launch, follow it's instructions.

Im looking for a good dvd copying and burning program. Is
this recommended. Is it similar to DVD Shrink for PC's? Does
it ake the ecryption off then able to burn to disk for own
purposes? A friend of mine told me to download
DVDRipOMatic and X Rip Studio but they wont open
automatically on my MAC, it just asks me to choose a
program to open with but not sure which one. Do i need
another program to be able to open these two programs

I've found
MacTheRipper to be the best DVD ripping software
for my own purpose. The best thing about the deal is it is
distributed for free and it removes any copyright
encodings on the DVD!! I then use Roxio's Popcorn
software (included in their latest version of Toast as well)
to burn my own disk of it.

As for why you can't open your downloads, I assume they
are a compressed file. Apple used to include [url=http://
www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/download.html]Stuffit
Expander with all their computers but they don't
anymore. Download that and I'm sure you can
uncompress them just fine.
