How to get rid of OS 9

Comment:
I recently installed Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar, and I no longer need OS 9 for anything. I want to get rid of it, preferably without reinstalling the new OS, so I can free up my hard drive. How?

Where is the system folder? I found "Desktop OS 9" but throwing that out didn't seem to help much.

Did you start up from 9 or X? If you started from X, I don't see why it would need the 9 system folder.
