Reply: (edit)Use Quicktime 4 to open it, if you don't
have the 'decompressor' to QT4 for AVI
then use the file 'Quicktime Updater' in
the folder 'Quicktime' to get that.
If you of any reason can't use QT4 then
use Microsoft Mediaplayer (for mac) to
open it. You can get it at
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/ and then
search on 'mediaplayer'. Hope this helps! /Håkan

Reply: (edit)i have a dell 98. i try to play avi's and message pops up saying this file could not be decompressed. please check file. i dont know what to do, i have tryed everything. i have the newest version ofquicktime, and windows media player.

I have the latest realplayer,quicktime,Media
player,I look out for updates.
Yet I can not play AVI divx files.
A my exstentions are loaded. why will these
type of files not play.
