Hi, I have bought a iMac recently. I want to add another disk. Is there a document that exist how to open an iMac and how do ADD a IDE disk ? THanks. Stefaan
You can remove the small old internal hard disk and replace with a bigger internal hard disk. You don't need 2 hard disk in an iMac. You can add external hard disk.
ok, so can it be done on an original 233 mhz imac? any insights as to how? who makes a replacement/larger one?
thanks a bunch

Any IDE hard drive will work as a replacement. Plenty of WWW sites have info on doing the upgrade; just google for it.
If you ever decide to run OS X on it, you'll need to make sure OS X is installed on a partition that fits entirely in the first 8GB of the drive.
