Well if your talkin the orig Mac classic,
and it's serial number 000001 (or
whatever they began with) then it is worth
a lot to APPLE computer or somoen
(M.U.G., Museum, etc) for a display or
something. The chance of this being
THAT computer is beyond the realm of
sensibility. That said...it's worth, as
formerly stated above...about 20 bucks if
you are generous and really need a
doorstop.

"fier," you should know the original Mac wasn't a
Classic. It was simply called "Macintosh." If
indeed it is serial number 1, which I highly doubt
as the first several were all given to Macintosh
development team members, it's worth a freakin'
fortune. If it's simply "an" original Macintosh - that is,
model M0001 - then it's worth about $30-40 in
working, clean cosmetic condition. Add $10-20 if
it doesn't say "128" on the back in red lettering. If
it comes with keyboard and mouse, add another
$20. If it comes with the keyboard that lacks the
numeric keypad, add another $5. If it comes in
original packaging, with manuals and whatnot, add
about $200.If it's not working, it's nothing more than a nice
doorstop unless you're proficient at component-
level board repair and diagnosis, which, judging by
your ignorance of this topic in general, you
probably aren't. I *might* pay $15-20 for a non-
working one, but only if I knew up front what the
problem was and could decide my course of action
for fixing it.p
