how do you unlock a CD-R

i made my own cd to backup some programs but now I want to delete something of the cd and i can't because it is locked. is there anyway to unlock a cd????

depends if you are using a cd-r or a cd-rw disc. once a cd-r disc is written there is no way to erase it. if there is remaining space left on it you can write on that though. if you are using a cd-rw disc then you can erase and write about a 100 times or so. if you have any questions just give me an email
