i just bought an imac and i would like to add it to a network that i am going to start with my 3 other win pcs. how do i go about sharing the cable modem with the mac if i connect it to my ethernet hub with the other computers?? Thanx, Bill

The threemacs site is excellent. It's not a big deal getting your Mac on the net via the router - you will have to configure your TCP/IP to recognize the router. It's a bit more problematic to get the computers networked but it can be done. You don't need to be networked to use the router though.
It depends on how much you want to do.
we just hooked ours up. "server" is my
Dell, followed by G4 and iMac. We used a
hub and straight thru cables. the trick
was to not use the #1 spot, and put the
modem cable into the uplink. If you want
to share files, this is not the option to use.
I just got a Linksys 4 Port Router at
CompUSA last weekend for $99 after
rebate, for the same purpose. Works
great.
