for a long time i haven't been able to view wmv or avi files on my MAC™. first i want to know if it's possible to view wmv & avi on a mac or if they're strictly for PC™. if it is possible plz tell me how, if there's a player i can download could u suggest one for me?¿ plz help me. my email is : yorelok@direcway.com
Quicktime has been able to view AVI since version 4..although you might want the indeo 5 extension..(unsure if it's necessary tho, especially for X) The latest Windows media player will of course play Windows Media files (especially on X as that version is more up-to-date).. but i'm not sure, RealPlayer just might too...it's pretty versatile.. Oh incidentally, just for the hey...although I'm not absolutely sure if "Mac" is a registered trademark of anyone's..i'm pretty darn sure that "PC" (despite M$'s and/or IBM's fondest wishes, I bet) certainly isn't, at least not by itself...no need for a 'TM'...
I have found that VLC(Video Lan) is the best player that I have been able to find. But even it will not play WMV, in fact the Mac version of Windows Media Player will not even play the WMV3 files.
