I'm replacing a 4G IDE Apple(Western Digital)with a non-Apple 40G IDE (Maxtor) hard drive, and would like to see if anyone can offer some suggestions as to the procedure for formatting. I have a beige G3. Can I use Apple's HD Setup or do I have to use FWB Toolkit for setting up? If I have to use FWB, is this a real BAD thing to do? Should I have tracked down a Apple formatted hard drive instead of a standard ide hard drive that's used in a pc? I do have FWB Hard Disk Toolkit V2.5 that I used on a Power Computing computer that I used to have. I would appreciate anyone's help.
Thanks,
Bruce
