How do I get rid of it?

Long ago I found 2 PCs by a dumpster. One had a zip drive that I wanted, but I went ahead and took them both for parts. Well, a friend of mine's computer broke (display card) we took apart the old junkers (both work but poorly) but unfortunately they did not have a compatible one, but other parts were compatable so we decided to take the best compatable ones from each and make him one better computer. Well, we did it and it all worked, except for one thing. Both had MacOS! Neither of us like it, or know how to use it. Now, there is the driver problem that they don't work because it is a new system, but it is stuck with that MacOS and we can't figure out how to get rid of it to put in Dos to get the drives to work.

They are regular PCs that someone put that OS on. Does something with a MacOS have DOS on it somewhere? If so how can I get to it? Does anyone know how to uninstall MacOS?

We have in there the RAM from one of the junkers, if we go with a lesser RAM will it leave? Is the OS stored on the RAM? We have 1 hard drive from a junker and his hard drive, should we also get rid of the junker hard drive?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
It would be best if you can Email me at matthewortiz@yahoo.com if you know.

If you can help me to get it to work, maybe you might be interested in some of the remaining parts.

1. it's physically impossible to get PCs
(intel chips) to run the MacOS. you can
"emulate" the OS but that would still
require windows for the machine to
boot.

2. you have (junkard) Macs on your
hands. if that's the case you can buy
Virtual PC or SoftPC and emulate
windows/dos on them. keep in mind
emulation is slower than running the
real thing.

3. if the harddrives work, then just
format them to PC drives and they
should be fine.

Boot from a windows install floppy or startup floppy and re-format the hard drives. Then install whatever Wintel compatible OS you want.
