how do i defrag my imac?

ok i have the nortons utilities 6 cd for mac 9, it says i need to boot from the cd to defrag but i dont understand how to defrag from the cd, it gives instructions for using it on a G4 machine, but i cant figure it out for my imac, is there any other programs i can use for free? thanks alot for the help.

If the problem is that the Norton disk won't boot up the computer, even with C held down, I have experienced this. You have to make a RAM Disk (only about 6MB big), a couple Norton files into it, and boot up from your startup CD for Mac. Then use the software on the RAM Disk. I have the specific instructions, if that would help.
