Im not sure if Im talking about the same thing...but I did a similar thing with my powerMac 7400 and 2 WinMe PCs on a network using MacSOHO. It has a free 1 month trial too.
Launch the mac os help and do a search on appletalk. I got it open now and it explains how to do a network connetion. You need to use file sharing, appletalk, ethernet port and tcp/ip.
