Comment:

I use Outlook Express 5.02. It is
configured to download my mail from a
Hotmail Acct. when i open the application.
On occassion there is a message with no
subject and no reference to whom it was
sent by, it is always 116k and when I try to
open it the application will freeze and I
must use the force quit option on my Mac.
When I log into my mail through my
browser (IE 5.0) there is absolutely no
sign of this 116k file. What is it and how
do I get it to stop? Any help is
appreciated. I am using OS 8.6
Thanx

Its a corrupt message or mailbox - you'll need to go into the Outlook express folder - under your profile and delete the inbox - you'll also loose any mail you had in there...

Keep in mind the ability to download hotmail in OE is still in BETA form - it doesn't always work that great.

I don't know if this will work, but it's
worth a try. While in Outlook Express go to
view. Click. Go down to preview panel.
Click.Go to the address that is causing the
problem. Click once. Only once. Then
delete. To open other mail in your inbox you
will click twice.
