this is gonna need a seriously complicated soloution i
think, but if you know anything, please read on...Right, i'm running Mac OSX, and have OSX-Vnc running as
a server on it, then i want to pick up the signal (or run vnc
- whatever you will) at school, using the Real VNC
program, on computers either running Windows 98/2000/
XP.Ive got both programs set up and running, and i know the
Real VNC works on the PC's im trying to run it on, as a
mate tried on his.But here are the two problems;
1] Will it work cross platform (Looking at my Mac from the
Windows PC's)
2] I'm behind a Firewall Router.
I dont think [1] is really a problem, but i'm sure it's [2]
thats stopping me.
I cant find out my real I.P. address as the router somehow
changes it [i think/have been told] and do i need to/can i,
disable the firewall on the router.I've not got a firewall or any software that would stop it
running on the mac, but i think theres a firewall on the
actual router. The router is a NETGEAR DG834G 54Mbps Wireless ADSL
Firewall Router, and my mac is accessing it wirelessly (not
sure if that makes a difference)If anyone can help, i would really appreciate it
Thanks in advance

Cross platform is no problem.
Enable the FW to allow the VNC port (I can't remember what it is). Also make sure the the OS X built-in FW is not on.
You can also use a program called Putty and access your Mac using SSH tunneling, which means sending the VNC packets encrypted on port 22 (SSH). Google for it.
That should do it.
