Help upgrade mac7.6 to 8.0?

I am typing to you from a 5260/120 using 64mg ram and OS 8.6 MacOS 8.0 is upgradeable to 8.6 for free However I do not believe there is a place to d/l 8.0 for free, I believe you need to buy the disk. I would check out a few of the surplus/auction sites it should be cheap now

to move from 7.6 to 8.x you need to buy mac os 8 then do a clean install of os 8 then if you want go to apple to get the upgrades to 8.1 or 8.5 or 8.6 but you need to buy mac os 8 it is a huge leap forward in os and requires a clean install from 7.xx ( at first i had a hard time with the differences with mac os 8, but the stability was so much better with os 8 that i have never looked back )

Apple probably do not still support OS 8.0, but Apple specialist outlets often have legal copies of the older OS's (I bought OS 7.6 last year from our local Apple dealer) ... if you ring around, you will probably find one who will burn you a legal copy for a reasonable price. Good luck.

hi, I've updated to mac os 8.1 from os 7.5.3 and it crashes all the time. The only reason why i updated from 0s 7.5.3 is because there isn't claris works on os 8 and i need it. is there any where where i could download it?
