first my powerbook G4/450 was booted with a cd in the cd-rom drive (accidentally ;). the next reboot failed and i can't start the machine. seems like the machine is trying to boot from the cd-rom drive. would like advice please on the best thing to do. is there a URL to download Mac OS 9.1 boot/start-up disks?

cheers,
a novice mac user!

Reply:

start up from mac os cd-rom and check if the systemfolder is "blessed" (mac os icon). Also check if your systemfolder is selected under "startup disk". You can not download complete os 9.1 disks, only updates.
