O.K. I know mac users have heard this way to many times. Which is better pcs or macs. I understand why the os is supposed to better. I haven't used a mac computer since 1996. I only used it to compose music on an electronic keyboard and than transfer it to a cassette. It was a professional setup. They weren't using a p.c. ... Anyway I can't really find a reason why I would pay close to a 1000 dollars more give or take whatever for a mac. I can't seem to get a clear enough answer searching online, so I'm asking computing.nets mac users. Thanks

If you have to ask it is obvious you do not have a need for a MAC PC......

Even though no one is going to see this:

Back in the early days Macs were ten times better, they had a gui, they could support hi resoultion displays, and they had photoshop + all the other graphics utlities at the time when PCs still used DOS or windows at 16 colors.

There is no actual "Macintosh" anymore. The last actual Mac was the quad core G5 machine. If you buy a mac now a days, you are buying nothing more than a real fancy PC. If you really want to try out a mac, get a copy of tiger for X86 and load it on your PC, seriously. I can't beleive I spent over 10 years of my life dealing with mac issues, only to have that world destroyed by the same people that made it. :(
