I have a 21" Apple Studio Display (Blue & white model) connected to my PC. Nice looking screen, but...
1. I cannot get the entire screen picture to the edges of the monitor, then....
2. The monitor just goes completely blank after a few minutes. I have to turn screen off, then on again after 5mins just to have the same thing happen again!
CAN ANYONE please help me?? i'm goin crazy.

Ive never had very much luck with pc monitors connected to macs, and vice versa (your case)
It seems theres always that prob of the screen being too small or big , or whatever-however , the reason im responding is simply this- is your screensaver on your PC set for 5 minutes? It might be blanking the monitor, on a pc moving the mouse would bring it back, but i dont know bout a mac monitor...

Sounds like your video card is trying to output a refresh rate the monitor doesn't like.

That, and don't the 21" Studio Displays require a USB hookup to work? ;)

Yes. The 21" Studio Display came with a built-in USB hub, but when I plug the USB into my pc, the install wizard tells me that a 'function driver was not specified for this device'.
I have tried changing refresh rates, but that does not work either!

the function (monitor) driver is precisely what regulates the automatic blanking out of the monitors in w98.Draw your conclusion....

OK. Not being a techo in any way, are you suggesting that I need a particular monitor driver? And do you know where I can find it? I have searched the internet all day to try and find information regarding 'monitor driver for apple display' connected to a pc....nothing yet!!!

Shouldn't it also be a USB driver?
(I'm running Windows 2000 not w98)

I'm suggesting that this is now a Windoze problem and should be addressed over there.
