Im at work and need to install a printer on a mac, I'm a pc girl and I don't know how. can someone please give me a breif outline of the steps to install a printer on a mac.

I haven't got installtion cd rom I was going to download the drivers off the net.

2) Download drivers.

Reply: (edit)I have the same problem as sallie...I see the four steps to follow, but I don't know where to find/run the installer....I have the IP Addy(static) of the printer and the correct driver from HP....How do I get the Mac to see the printer?

Reply: (edit)here's the right way... *Go to the "Chooser"
*select the "LaserWriter 8" icon
*if AppleTalk is active, the TCP/IP printers will show up at the right.
*select the printer you wish to use
*you can specify PPD (drivers) for the printer if you wish, they may have to be downloaded first.
