HELP! Converting Mac to PC

I am try to convert MAC SE Claris works files to Windows 95 ASCII. The PC won't read the MAC disk and the MAC won't read the PC disk. HELP!

it might be as simple as formatting the floppy in the pc, copying the files, renaming them to have the same extension as the mac expects, eg 4 chars rather than 3. might not always work but has done for me before.
