I'd be eternally grateful if someone could help me with this.
Firstly let me just say I'm a girl, we don't normally do these things or have these kinds of conversations, so please be patient.
I had a Powermac Graphite 466 G4, but the power supply died on me so I bought a Powermac Quicksilver 933 G4 with the idea of taking out the main hard drive from the Graphite and installing it into the Quicksilver. After MUCH tooing and froing I did manage to do this (and was rather proud). I also transported the DVD drive from the Graphite and replaced the one in the Quicksilver as it wasn't reading my discs. Back to the hard drive issue - after setting the main hard drive in the Quicksilver as the master I went on to successfully install another drive as the slave. However, this (slave - a Maxtor 120GB) drive was not the one that I really wanted in there. The one that I wanted in there (with all of my work on it - a Maxtor 30GB) would not mount. It is being seen by Disk Utility but won't mount and Disk Utility does not give the option of repairing. Is it likely that this drive is damaged then? I'm thinking if it was damaged then surely it wouldn't be seen by Disk Utility? Does anyone have any idea how I can get it to mount?
I don't actually remember which OS it's running on, I haven't had it long, but I can get it if that helps (I'm at work at the mo). But just to reiterate, I have managed to set the main as master and my OTHER (120GB) drive as the slave which IS mounting. Could it be that I haven't got the jumpers right in the 30GB drive or is it just damaged? This is doing my head in and I really don't want to lose the work I have on 30GB drive.
Please help this damsel in distress!!!
Thanks

Also, I know that there are a few posts on this issue but after having read them all, I didn't manage to find an answer to this problem. Thanks

To correct the file errors or directory structure errors, you can run DiskWarrior from Alsoft http://www.alsoft.com/DiskWarrior/i...
