I aquired a hard drive from a powermac 8100/100, it is a fujitsu M1606AU, I accidently rearanged the jumpers and now my LC III wont recognize it from a startup disk.
there are 8 pins (::::) the one that powers it on is (I:::) i've tried 5 combinations (IIII) and (II=) and (=II) and (=I=) etc. all 4 jumpers were connected when I first tested it and it worked. help.

this is more to do with termination, SCSI cable length. Have a
look on Google for these kind of problems and how you can
fix them.

the pins decide the identity of the hard disk on the SCSI
chain. a very long and difficult way of connecting drives to
computerzzzzz. again, have a search on Google for all the
ins and outs. if you search for M1606AU and words like 'pin'
and 'ID' you should be able to find a chart to help you put the
drives ID on '1' or '2'. normally logic boards are '0' or '7', CD
drives are on '3', scanners on '4'
