Comment:

I have a 18GB LaCie Drive connected to my External SCSI - I can save a text file on the drive (using "Save As..." but whenever I try to Copy a file to the drive, it halts up. My MacOS is at 7.5.3 (the minimum for the drive, supposedly.)

Are there any restrictions or conflicts that I'm not aware of?

Any help would be great.

i've heard of this problem before,
although i forgot how to remedy it
(sorry). but just for the hell of it, why
don't you upgrade to 7.6.1 (it's free)
and update the driver for the external
drive using apple's "drive setup" utility.
you need to download the latest one
from apple, it offers more third-party
drivers.
