i have a G4 powerbook 667mhz 256mb 30gb with dvd/cd rewriter. few days ago my comp showed a message saying that hard drive was full so i tried to do some research on internet on how to get around it. At this point I couldn't even get to a point where i could burn photos onto cd/dvd. is this because of the full hard drive? yesterday it got to a the OS would not even load up. it would start then stop at the blue screen. now it gets to the grey screen with the timer, tries again then switches the computer off. I can't even get to a point where i can burn photos onto cd/dvd. i have tried targeting another computer. i have a graphite g3 which is an imac /power pc 750 - 256mb 400mhz L2. cache(per CPU) 512kb. bus speed 100mhz. boot ROM version 4.1.9R1. same OS 10.4.7. i tried targeting this computer by pressing T in startup. when i do this it gets to an orange firewall symbols on the blue background. then it stops, carrys on, stops, and never gets to a point where i can click to transfer. please help me. i need to know what to try next. is there another way to get the information off the G4?

Open your G4, remove the hard disk connect it to a PC with an mini IDE to IDE adapter and boot the application "HDD regenerator" to recover corrupted data. It seems to be a problem with your hard disk.
