Gimp-print won't add my printer

I've just loaded Ghostscript7.05.5 and Gimp-print . Carefully following the Add Printer instructions, everything goes just fine right up until the final stage when I click on "add" ...... It doesn't! Any suggstions?

My printer is a HP 950c Deskjet on USB that is listed as one of the available printers. Would it have made any difference that I put all the original HP drivers into the trash before I loaded the new driver software?

Of course it worked fine - I was looking in the wrong place for the media selection e.g. glossy paper

It's working now, obviously, but to answer your second question - it *would* be a good idea to at least disable the HP drivers. p
