Comment:
I installed Gimp-Print and GhostScript to print from OS X to my old Epson 1520 Color Stylus printer. Everything seems to print well, however 2 lines of code print in the top left-hand corner regardless of the application I'm using:
284.4 @EJL
Same code every time. Is this part of the trade-off for using free software, or am I doing something wrong?

Dave,
As the Epson Stylus Color 1520 is incompatible with OS X - you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. GIMP Print and Ghost Script are V. good - but the GIMP can only do so much - and as you've said - I believe you've just hit 284.4@EJL trade off for using GIMP.
