I want to get out of DOS mode. I get emails with
attachments that need windows media player and i
can not get them on my computer. A box with a
whole bunch of symbols and letters pop up and at the
top it reads " can not view in DOS mode" I tried to
download windows media player for mac but it says
the same thing. How do I get out of DOS mode?

Mac's cant read Exe files/.Msi because there only for windows
xp. Thats why u get the DOS error.

I have a mac and i cant get out of my DOS mode. I would like
to download windows media player for mac. I have already
tried downloading and it was successful but it couldnt be
opened because of my DOS. How do i get out of this system?

There is no DOS mode for OS X. Unless you used Boot Camp to put Windows on there and boot to it. Windows has DOS, Macs do not.There is a command line app called Terminal that LOOKS like DOS (Black Screen/Window with white text) but the commands are different and just like DOS yu can royally screw up your computer if you mess around in there.
I'd 'zap the PRAM' first (Hold down Option+P+R at the same time) 2-3 times. It's Mac Voodoo but it's known to fix little issues that may crop up with your Mac. Hold the Option Key to select a Startup Disk.

You're in the wrong section, go over to the "Windows" section and they'll help you out there.

Hey, yeah i get the same problem with my mac computer. When i try to install mobile phone software it comes up with a box with loads of writing, and saying 'This program cannot be run in DOS mode' at the top. Its really annoying, have you figured it out yet?

STOP POSTING DOS/WINDOWS RELATED PROBLEMS IN THE MACINTOSH SECTION!!!

THERE ARE SEPARATE "WINDOWS" AND "DOS" SECTIONS FOR THIS ISSUE!!!!
