Comment:
I have a new G5 Quad without built-in Airport Extreme wireless card, though I do have an Ethernet card. When I connect my Ethernet card directly (wiredly) to my LinkSys router I can connect to the Internet, etc. What I would like to do is make the connection wirelessly. What can I do other than install the Airport Extreme card. I want to do it externally.--Tom
I would also recommend the AirPort card unless you have one of the current PowerMac G5 models. These require something called a runway card which is, of course, more expensive than the AirPort card.
If you are still searching for an external option probably the best choice thus far is the AeroPad mini. In effect this is a wireless card placed external to the computer and connected by ethernet cable.
