Reply: (edit)Yes, tried that at first hand, but when that had no succes i tried to update from a CD 9.2.1 installer (custom), i don't want to do a clean install because there to much info on my harddisk. I searched the net by the way and came accross seomthing like; that this system only supports version like 8.x / 9.0 / 9.1 and OSX, what about that?

Reply: (edit)Well, when i start the upgrade i had the following checked; Mac OS 9.2.1 Internet access Apple remote access Personal Websharing Text-to-speech Mac OS Runtime for Java Network Assistent Client The following occures after a couple of minutes; "This version of Mac OS can not be installed over the localized version of Mac OS on the disk, please choose a different destination disk or perform a cean install" And i need the 9.2.1 upgrade so i can start it up in OSX. I did a little bit of research myself and this is what i found out; I'm not quite sure but maybe my G4/400 is the problem, i think maybe my machine does not support installing a 9.2.1 version, can that be true?

Reply: (edit)And the updater you downloaded is the US version as well, I assume? Try installing the updater after having booted with extensions off. p

Reply: (edit)Every Mac Apple has released since 1998 supports up to 9.2.2 and OS X, so there's no possible way your G4 is unsupported under 9.2.1. p
