Hello, I work at a college and have new G4 systems with Os 9.1. After almost ten months, two systems in a span of one week have had hard drive boot error. The "?" and folder appear at startup. Both users of the G4s are very opposite from each other. One uses only email and internet, the other is a heavy graphics and design apps user. Both recall the system freezing in an app and then after attempting to restart the system, it couldn't boot. I managed to recover the light user's G4 by connecting the hard drive to a PC and reformatting it. OK. But this heavy users needs the data intact if possible. Does anyone know of a problem with OS 9.1 or the hard drive, IBM Deskstar 20.5GB, having this problem after a certain number of months? Thanks.
