G4 won't start up completely

when i push the power button on my G4 to start it, the light comes on, the drive spins up, but i get no start up chime, and no display. I heard about this problem a while back(year and a half ago) but can't find the article that said what the fix was. Any help would be great

First, change the clock battery. You'll see it on the logic board.

I had the same problem with my Blue & White G3 and the problem was for mines i had to take out the Graphics card and get a next one because its not working in the first slot (64BIT) i had to move it to the 32bit slots for it to work but you're using the G4 with the AGP or without.. if with the AGP try a next card and see if it helps..
