i suddenly have no sound on my
computer...could not hear the "you've got
mail" when i logged on the net...can't hear
sound from anything on iTunes....help!

Toss the Sound Preferences, make sure the volume isn't muted, and restart.

thanks mr pickle...sorry for coming across as
"high strung" but with everything else i have
had to deal with lately with this computer it
almost seemed to be the last straw.

btw: what would cause it to suddenly be
muted?

Corrupted prefs mebbe? Might have something to do with your other problems ;)
